FOX NEWS

For those looking for the story I wrote on singer-songwriter Bill Fox for THE BELIEVER magazine in 2007, feel free to email me at joe_hagan at hotmail dot com and I'll try to get you a copy of the article. For those seeking his music, stand by: it will be back up on iTunes soon and available to all for download. Meanwhile, there's talk of a potential book on Fox's 1998 album Transit Byzantium, with a submission under consideration with Continuum Publishing's music series, 33 1/3.

Finally, here is the latest news on Fox, as reported by the blog I Rock Cleveland: Bill Fox is playing music again.

Something has changed in Bill Fox. Something that made him decide to come out of hiding and perform. In my brief exchange with Hagan, he hinted that Fox's return to music was spurred by the economy, and by the renewed interest in his music following the Believer story. It was a good story, and it could very well be the truth. However, for those in attendance last night, the whys, wheres and hows weren't important. We were seeing a Cleveland legend live, in person for the first time in a long, long time.
